Peter James Jewers Wellbeing

MBACP, MNCS (Accred), FD (open)

  •  I am an experienced Integrative Counsellor working from a private practice in Great Waltham, Essex (near Chelmsford) and from a practice in the City of London.
  • I am a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and an accredited member of the National Counselling society .
  • I work with both adults and young people offering short and long term therapy.
  • I offer a confidential, warm, friendly, supportive, non judgemental environment. A space where you can feel safe to talk about your feelings, thoughts, fears and concerns.
  • My role as a therapist is to work with you to help you understand and clarify what it is that is troubling you and to help you find ways to work through your issues, enhancing your self awareness and resilience as you work towards  a healthy, positive outcome.

My Therapy

I have an integrative counselling approach, this enables me to draw upon a range of approaches and techniques, including Person-centred therapy, Psychodynamic therapy, Solution focused therapy, Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), Gestalt therapy,  Mindfulness  / Meditation and spirituality.

My therapy is tailored to meet my individual client's needs, I use these approaches to help my clients explore their issues, understand themselves better and to find ways to move forward.
.
Through my own personal experience I understand that it can be difficult to start therapy and to choose a Counsellor. I  am aware that it can feel uncomfortable and challenging, therefore I aim to support you on your journey by providing a confidential, warm, trusting environment, listening to you, having empathy and understanding and by challenging you when appropriate.
.
