Experience

Client Experience
Experience and understanding of working with men and women from all backgrounds who are dealing with personal problems including: anxiety, trauma, depression, suicidal thoughts, bereavement, relationship problems, abuse, self harm, low self-esteem, anger, confidence, family breakdown, health issues, redundancy, cultural and religious issues, sexual problems, sexual health, sexuality, addiction, alcohol and drugs.
I also work with individuals struggling with work pressures and expectations that cause stress and anxiety.
.
Working with men
I am aware that some men find it difficult to talk and may be more comfortable talking openly about their issues with another man.
.
Young People
I have many years of experience of working with young people. I have worked with vulnerable young adults and teenagers for over 15 years. I understand the difficulties faced during childhood, school life and as teenagers. How influences and past experiences, upbringing, expectations of others and the pressure to fit in can affect mental health.
.
LGBTQA+
I understand the difficulties LGBTQA+ individuals face throughout life, regularly working with clients and groups with problems relating to coming out, acceptance, fitting in, lifestyle, family breakdown, bullying, homophobia, illness, health, loss, relationship issues, HIV, AIDS, violence, domestic violence, homelessness, drugs and alcohol, addictions, sex, sexual abuse, bereavement, religion, culture, civil partnerships, marriage, self harm and self esteem, anxiety, depression, isolation, loneliness, peer pressure, body image, self confidence and self worth.
.
Working with Couples
Couples therapy can help couples who are struggling by finding ways to improve communication, resolve conflicts and disagreements.  My sessions provide a safe environment where you can both be heard and respected. Expectations, fears, feelings, thoughts and concerns on relationship issues can be explored.
.
Working with groups
Groups sessions provide a support network and the opportunity to meet other people who are experiencing similar situations. As a therapist I work with the group to provide a safe environment where individuals can explore their experiences, interact, and work towards understanding themselves better.
.
 Meditation Sessions
I provide individual and group meditation practice and relaxation sessions. These sessions can help to reduce stress and anxiety and can be used as a useful coping technique when struggling with busy lifestyles.

Mindfulness
Mindfulness can help you focus on the here and now by finding techniques and ways to think in the present moment. This usually involves practicing breathing techniques and body scans that can help you to recognise and reduce overthinking.

Life Coaching
I provide life coaching sessions both face to face and via zoom, these sessions can help support individuals to reach realistic goals, resolve specific problems, and explore personal blocks, this can help to create change both personally and professionally by enhancing self-awareness and understanding.

One-to One wellbeing check -in sessions
I provide one to one wellbeing sessions both face to face and via zoom. These sessions provide a confidential space for each individual to talk through any worries and concerns. They could also be used to explore options for support and to sign post if more in-depth therapy is required. The sessions are followed up by a review session, where goals and wellbeing practices can be reviewed.
